DINNER PARTY: FIESTA NIGHT

ONE OF MY FAVORITE THEMES TO EXECUTE IS A FIESTA THEME. ALL OF THOSE VIBRANT COLORS COMING TOGETHER. IT IS HARD TO MESS IT UP YET AT THE SAME TIME YOU CAN GO SIMPLE WITH DECOR.

This week I had the privilege of helping one of my good friends host a dinner party at her home.

This Fiesta Dinner Party was able to be accomplished on a small budget.

The plates: The aqua, turquoise and coral plates are from Walmart. They are 50 cents each (microwave & dishwasher safe!) but unfortunately, they are only available in store. I have noticed that others have caught onto how great these plates are. Plus the beautiful colors they have released for this season! They are a hit or miss depending on which store you go to. We have gray and off-white ones that I use as every day dishes at my house. The green ones are from Target and they also have a variety of colors. These can be ordered online and then picked up in store. The colors are more muted but still very pretty.

It was not part of my original plan but once I began setting up the tablescapes, I chose to separate the floral from most of the succulents. I purchased 4 different bundles of flowers from HEB. At $3.88/bundle that brought the total of my floral to $16. For birthdays, get-well gifts, tablescapes and parties the $3.88 bundles from HEB and Central Market at my go-to’s. There are rare times when the selection is slim but most of the time they have a gorgeous variety of florals. They help liven up a tablescape and the different shaped petals bring in a beautiful assortment of textures to the setting.

The glasses were probably my favorite part of both tables. As pretty as they are, you would never guess that they are $1 each from Dollar Tree. When I first came across these I had not found the plates that I wanted so I was not sure how they would tie in. I had to go to a few different Walmart’s to find the plates.

Tip: The smaller the town, the better the chances. I went back into town to purchase these glasses and I am so glad I did! There are so fun and pretty!

My favorite place to find good quality faux succulents are Dollar General, Michaels and Hobby Lobby.

Let’s talk about those candles though! The tall, white glass pillar candles and the stained glass votives are both from Dollar Tree. As it turns out, one of my favorite go-to stores for tablescape decor is Dollar Tree. It is a great place to start and then when you cannot find the other pieces you are looking for Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Ross, Home Goods, World Market & Amazon are my next stops.

The napkins are from Target. The brand is Ginger Ray and they come in a 20 pack (10 yellow ombre, 10 green ombre). Originally I had planned on cloth napkins but when I found these, my friend who I was helping plan this loved them. Once the whole design came together, I realized paper napkins fit this fiesta theme perfectly. Not just the vibrant colors they tied in but it took the feel from formal to FIESTA!
